A report from Mandy Bachman
I have #court tomorrow.
True to #form and right on #schedule, this is who has been following me for the past two days.
To the #Utah #public-understand that you #taxes pay the salaries of the Utah County Sheriff's Office and all their #deputies.
This means that as the #traffickers are laughing at #children being SOLD INTO SLAVERY and USED FOR #sex, they are also misusing your tax dollars for their own purposes.

A report from Charlene Stott
We met yesterday in front of the Manti Utah Courthouse-38 strong with Brand Thornton blowing the shofar to call for justice in the case, State vs David Hamblin. Judge Marvin Bagley took over the case temporarily and from the start showed that he was prejudiced as he asked at the very beginning of the hearing, with a tone and expression of incredulity, "Why would the Utah County Attorney's office want to take this case when it is a Sanpete County case?" "Surely this case is "conflicted" like the case in Utah County because of David Leavitt which Judge Griffin had already ruled on".
The lawyer for the defense tried every which way he could asking the same questions over and over again trying for 3+ hours to establish that this case is tied to the cases in Utah County and "conflicted" because of David Leavitt.
If we weren't worn out with his questions, the judge asked them as well and the questions were so lame and tedious, the witnesses became irritated and frustrated at having to answer them.
Jeff Grey, UT Co.
Attorney, was there along with Misty Rose from the Juab Co. Attorney's office and Utah Co., Chad Grunander from the Utah County Attorneys office, and the investigator from the Utah County Sheriff's office, along with Peters ,former Juab Co. attorney.
All of these witnesses were firm and honest in their statements that David Leavitt had nothing to do with this case, the Utah Count Attorneys office is NOT conflicted, the witness in this case has nothing to do with the other two cases and the Utah County Attorney's office can and is willing to try the case.
To not do it would take even longer for this case to go to trial.
Jeff Grey said all he was interested in was that justice be done.
Something this judge and defense lawyer needed to hear. (silent clapping) Peters was a bit wobbly but all of them were firm...Utah county can prosecute, there is NO conflict with David Leavitt, and this case is separate from the other two in Ut. Co. What Judge Bagley will decide we do not know but if he has any integrity he will let it go to trial asap.
We were exhausted with the banality of the questioning and dumbfounded when he made no decision but will decide September 30 when he is retiring as Judge.
Unconscionable!
We had 38 people in the audience, some with t-shirts saying "Protect Children" and "Justice Now". They would not let us take signs in so we wore them.
David Hamblin was there sporting a big smile.
I asked the two lady prosecutors why this is taking so long and they said that it is a good case and they know it and can only try to delay it hoping something will get in it's way.
We blew that shofar outside and did a Jericho walk around the courthouse calling this Judge to repentance.
We will need continued support even if they try to wear us down.
