This week was epically eventful! I really enjoyed my interactions with various people on Callin and Substack!
I said this on Taibbis stack:
As one of the founding mothers of the Tea Party I reject the claim that we were being "opportunistic".
"And I want to be clear. I’m not saying, I think Donald Trump deserved to win or the Tea Party was being honest about its being outraged about these things. It was all opportunistic."
We recognized that a hostile marxist takeover of our government was quickly going to fundamentally change our healthcare and education systems and we rose up in protest.
The financial decisions by President Obama only solidified our concerns.
I wrote this back in the day...
So the President is going to propose a new economic plan after his vacay at Marthas Vineyard.
He should not waste the mental energy attempting to put it together, Ayn Rand has already done the heavy lifting on that topic by taking Collectivism in America to its logical conclusion with Directive 10-289 in the chapter Miracle Metal of Atlas Shrugged.
Ayn used Fiction to help her readers understand what Marxism “Looked Like” in real life by creating fictional characters who could be played today by any of the secular humanists currently embedded in our National Government.
Barack, Tim, David, and Gene could easily play Mr. Thompson, Wesley, Eugene, Floyd, and Fred in the upcoming second installment of Atlas Shrugged, the Movie. But the Prez and his Economic team are busy with vacations and writing even more talking points blaming all of the economic morass on tea party activists like me. And preparing a “really big show” for September takes a great deal of time…
Here is a quick synopsis of the Economic Plan of the Marxist Looters and Moochers from Rands book: (I really think to be congruent the President and his Economic Advisers should just bite the bullet and publish this plan as the logical next step.)
I gave the opening speech at the first Denver Tea Party. Nobody was tracking how many Americans chose to "Go Galt" when Obama came into office, but productive people who shuttered their businesses were a part of the overall economic woes we all experienced.
During my speech I encouraged everyone to step out of the marketplace in various ways.

Economic analysts probably did not factor this phenomenon in because it was impossible to quantify.
The Tea Party laid the foundation for capitalism to come roaring back under President Trumps leadership.

I look forward to him returning to his duly elected office and once again setting in place the economic policies that will enable all of our families to enjoy pursuing the American Dream for generations to come.
Here are a few other places around Substack where I participated this past week!
PS Noses OFF!
I left this comment on The Pull Request interview by Antonio García Martínez with Kathryn Paige Harden.
This grabbed my attention Kathryn.
"I am trying to cultivate the idea that other people's opinions of me are not always my business and that's hard to remember, but maybe it's a good practice for life."
I have learned that this is the key to my life. When family, friends, and foes alike feel compelled to label and place us in a neat tidy box, which generally means the opinion of us that is the most comfortable and easy for them to reconcile, it is time to step back from them and assert a bit of certitude about who we are.
I believe parents have so much to contribute to their children and definitely err on the side of nurture vs. nature.
Dr. Sears, who catalogued attachment parenting in his books, made the startling claim that he never met a child who was holistically nutured and fully attached to its parents who grew up to be a bully.
He said well bonded children are just the opposite. They will step in and try to help someone who is hurting.
My children are at the ages when test scores and credentials are in play to score the jobs they will use to care for their own children.
Once when my oldest son was lamenting not doing better on a test, I said to him, "You are not your test score". He looked me right in the eyes and said, "It seems to be the only thing that matters right now, so, yes I AM my test score.
I felt so sad about that.
My husband and I as young parents had goals that revolved around us wanting our children to be kind.
I do not believe that grades, degrees, jobs, or a test score will qualify us for exaltation. Nor do I believe they should be the primary metrics used to quantify humanity.
Lord knows Heavenly Father will not use those worldly parameters when deciding which of his children will be welcomed back into his eternal home.
He laid out his Ten Commandments to define the terms of engagement.
And I am constantly reminding myself and my family that it is how we treat each other and all of humanity that will be the final qualifier in Gods eyes.
Thanks for such a wonderful read!
QUOTE:
“The real lesson is not that pharmaceutical companies, or the FDA should act better or do a better job. That just won’t always be the case. The real lesson is that civil and individual rights should never be contingent upon a medical procedure. Never. Preserving those rights to choose whether to get a medical product, without any government coercion, is the final and ultimate safeguard. Removing that right results in dangerous authoritarianism because just as the FDA will not admit to Maddie’s serious injury after having promoted this vaccine, politicians that mandate the vaccine will not want to later admit a mistake by repealing the mandate.”

“I remember when that attorney Zaid first bubbled up from the swamp in 2019. It quickly became apparent that he was not coloring with a full box of crayons.
The Whistleblower expert has a Disney fetish and likes to hang out at places where children are, even though he is single and childless.
He also was such a poor attorney that several of his legit government whistleblowers went to prison, it was almost as if he was not even trying to fairly represent them.
I am glad you are shining the light of day on them Glenn.”
