Concert for THOSE that Mourn 🌎 Playbill
The lyrics to all of the songs I sing in 528 Hertz Frequency!
On a Still and Starry Night
Falling snow; lights aglow; carols on the air;
Shining stars, open arms, laughter everywhere.
Of all the pleasures Christmas may bring
Here are the treasures that make my heart sing
There is hope in every dawning
There is purpose in our days
There is promise in our longing
And rejoicing in our praise
There is comfort for our yearning
In our darkness there is Light
Because the Father sent His Son to us
On a still and starry night
There is peace amid disquiet
For the seeking heart to find,
In confusion there is guidance
To relieve the troubled mind
There’s a sure, unerring Pilot
True and faithful by our side
Because the Father sent His Son to us
On a still and starry night
There’s a distant angel chorus
For the willing heart to hear
There are tidings sweet and joyous
To dispel our doubt and fear
There’s a Savior ever nigh us
Ever patient, ever kind
Because the Father sent His Son to us
On a still and starry night
Oh Holy Night
Oh, holy night
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
‘Til he appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope
The weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine; Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night
Oh night divine
Led by the light of faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
There came the wise men from Orient land
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend
He knows our need, to our weakness is no stranger
Behold your King
Before Him lowly bend
Behold your King
Before Him lowly bend
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Christ is the Lord
Oh praise His name forever
His power and glory ever more proclaim.
His power and glory ever more proclaim.
Be Still, My Soul
Be still, my soul: The Lord is on thy side;
With patience bear thy cross of grief or pain.
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: Thy best, thy heav’nly Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still, my soul: Thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: The waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.
Be still my soul: The hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord,
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: When change and tears are past,
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.
Make Us One
How shall we stand amid uncertainty?
Where is our comfort in travail?
How shall we walk amid infirmity,
When feeble limbs are worn and frail?
And as we pass through mortal sorrow,
How shall our hearts abide the day?
Where is the strength the soul may borrow?
Teach us thy way.
Chorus:
Make us one, that our burdens may be light
Make us one as we seek eternal life
Unite our hands to serve thy children well
Unite us in obedience to thy will.
Make us one! teach us, Lord, to be
Of one faith, of one heart
One in thee.
Then shall our souls be filled with charity,
Then shall all hate and anger cease
And though we strive amid adversity,
Yet shall we find thy perfect peace
So shall we stand despite our weakness,
So shall our strength be strength enough
We bring our hearts to thee in meekness;
Lord, wilt thou bind them in thy love?
(Repeat chorus)
Take from me this heart of stone,
And make it flesh even as thine own
Take from me unfeeling pride;
Teach me compassion; cast my fear aside.
Give us one heart, give us one mind
Lord, make us thine
Oh, make us thine!
(Repeat chorus)
I Need Thee Every Hour
I need thee every hour, most gracious Lord
No tender voice like thine can peace afford
I need thee, oh, I need thee
Every hour I need thee
Oh bless me now, my Savior
I come to thee
I need thee every hour, stay thou nearby
Temptations lose their power when thou art nigh
I need thee, oh, I need thee
Every hour I need thee
Oh bless me now, my Savior I come to thee
I need thee every hour, in joy or pain
Come quickly and abide or life is vain
I need thee every hour, most Holy One
Oh make me thine indeed, thou blessed Son
I need thee, oh, I need thee
Every hour I need thee
Oh bless me now, my Savior I come to thee
Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing
Come, thou fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,
Mount of thy redeeming love.
Here I raise my Ebenezer; ( def. )
Here by thy great help I’ve come;
And I hope, by thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for thy courts above.
Star of Wonder
What wondrous light dispels the night
and beckons from the skies?
While Jesus sleeps and shepherds seek
the manger where He lies?
A star ascends o’er Bethlehem and sets the world aglow
A symbol of the Father’s love to all who dwell below.
Chorus:
Star of wonder, burning bright
Lead me to the manger-side
Light that leads to endless Light
Shine upon my soul
What softer gleam of light is seen
descending on the air?
As Mary smiles upon the Child
entrusted to her care?
The starlight streams, the gentle beams fall softly on His brow
So heaven brings the newborn King a shining, starry crown
(Repeat chorus)
What wondrous light dispels the night,
when Christ is born on earth?
Celestial guide that leads the wise
to worship at His birth!
Now from afar, within my heart this pilgrimage is made
I kneel before the infant Lord who slumbers on the hay
(Repeat chorus)
Heaven’s Embrace
When shadows gather
When shades of night descend
I kneel to lay my burdens
At the Father’s feet again
I offer up my sorrow
Entrust to Him my grief
And at His touch my heart is filled with peace
(Chorus)
Borne upon a prayer
My soul is lifted up
Enfolded in the arms of everlasting love
Cradled in His kindness
Sheltered by His grace
Like a child in heaven’s embrace
When heartaches linger
And tears I cannot stay
I find my hope and refuge
In His presence as I pray
No hurt beyond His healing
No pain beyond His reach
And at His touch my heart is filled with peace
(Repeat chorus)
How Can I Keep From Singing?
My life flows on in endless song
Above earth’s lamentation
I hear the sweet, tho’ far-off hymn
That hails a new creation
Through all the tumult and the strife
I hear the music ringing
It finds an echo in my soul
How can I keep from singing?
What tho’ my joys and comfort die?
The Lord my Saviour liveth
What tho’ the darkness gather round?
Songs in the night He giveth
No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that Refuge clinging
Since Christ is Lord of heaven and earth
How can I keep from singing?
I lift mine eyes; the cloud grows thin
I see the blue above it
And day by day this pathway smoothes
Since first I learned to love it
The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart
A fountain ever springing
All things are mine since I am His
How can I keep from singing?
In the Bleak Midwinter
In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter, long ago.
What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
If I were a Wise Man, I would do my part;
Yet what I can I give Him: give my heart.
Silent Night
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
‘Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia
Christ, the Savior, is born
Christ, the Savior, is born
Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth
Concert for those that MOURN
I am a big believer in singing Christmas Music year round! About half of the songs in my show are Christmas Songs. That being said, the goal of the concert is to comfort those who are in deep mourning, which unfortunately, is a year round event.
Sally DeFord did all of the arrangements, accompaniment tracks, and has graciously given me permission to share these songs in any venue.
I transposed all of her accompaniment tracks to 528 Frequency on the 528 Records site!
My singing is a Christian Musical Ministry!
I sing for free.
I am available to do benefit concerts.
Contracts with DeFord Music will be necessary if you charge a price for admission.
Every year my whole life I have sung with amazing choirs in preparation for Christmas.
My husband and I do advent together and sing one Christmas song every night. But with the recent death of my Father, which sent me spinning, I needed more music to ground my soul.
I have set the goal to sing a one hour concert every night until Christmas to chase away depression and fill my heart with the love of Jesus Christ.
You can tune in to listen live on X at 7pm MST (Denver Time Zone)
